Share Your World 2015- Week #7

Happy Monday!

Here are my answers for this week’s Share Your World questions:

Is the paper money in your possession right now organized sequentially according to denomination and with the bills right side up and facing the same way? I rarely carry any money now but when I do I make sure they are organized and they are all facing the same way. It became a habit after working as a cashier for 5 years.

What is your favorite type of dog?  (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie) My favorite dog is a Golden Retriever. I’ve never owned any dogs but if I would one day I would choose a Golden Retriever or a Husky.

If money was not an issue, would you go on a cruise?  If so where would you go? I’ve actually thought about going on a cruise someday but I am very terrified of being in the middle of nowhere and not knowing how to swim. But if I had no choice I would go to Catalina Island. It’s not so far from home and I’ve always wanted to know what’s out there.

Would you dare to sleep in haunted house overnight? Nope! I am a big scary cat so that is an automatic no. I can’t even watch scary movies without having nightmares so I wouldn’t dare go near a haunted house.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am very grateful that I was able to spend a lot of time with my sister and mom last week.

I am looking forward to having my family come over this weekend so we can celebrate my daughter’s 2nd birthday.

I hope everyone has a great week! 🙂

Share Your World 2015- Week #6

Happy Monday everyone!

Here are my answers for Cee’s Share Your World questions:

What was the last time you went to a new place?
It’s very rare when I visit a new place but luckily we took advantage two weeks ago to visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art since the entrance was free due to the 10th annual “Museums Free-For-All” program.

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels, other?  And what type of genre would you prefer? If I was a writer I would write short stories. I always imagined I would become a writer because in high school I loved my English class and I enjoyed writing essays. Somehow that changed but I still enjoy writing here and there. The genre I would focus on would probably be fiction or non-fiction.

Out of your five senses (touch, taste, sight, smell, hearing) which is your favorite?
My favorite would have to be sight. I am a visual learner and I enjoy seeing new places but most of all I enjoy seeing the people I love.

If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?
This questions is actually pretty hard to answer. I think a few might be satisfied with their life but it all depends on the person. Sometimes those that have it all aren’t satisfied and those that have a little are living a happier life. All I can say is that I am pretty satisfied with my life.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for having my family around when things get rough in life. It wasn’t one of the greatest weeks but so far since 2015 started it has not been a great new year. I am looking forward to a more positive week and of course Valentine’s day so hopefully I can go out with my husband for dinner 😀

I hope everyone has a great week! 🙂

Share Your World 2015- Week #5

Here are my answers to this week’s Share Your World questions:

Do you prefer shopping or going to a park? A park is always fun because I get to enjoy it with my daughters. I only like to shop if I go alone so I can take my time 😀

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why? I would be any shoe that can keep your feet comfortable for hours without any aches.

What’s the story behind a time when you got locked out? It’s been a long time since that has happened. From what I remember, I was trying to park in a very small space and it was raining. I decided to step out of the car to check if I was able to fit without blocking a driveway and when I returned to my car it locked while the car was on. I started panicking because I left my cell phone inside so I had no way to call anyone. I remembered that the car handle had a way of opening by lifting it several times so I immediately tried that. It worked! I was so happy I was back inside my car and made sure to always leave a window open even if it’s raining.

Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts? I love eating banana with peanut butter as well as walnuts on strawberry greek yogurt. Very tasty! 😉

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that this weekend we took advantage of the free entrance to selected museums in LA. There’s not much to look forward to this week, I’m just hoping it’s a good week 🙂

Share Your World 2015- Week #4

Happy Monday everyone!

Every Monday Cee provides fun questions for us to answer and share with everyone. Here are my answers to this week’s Share Your World questions:

Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now? I lived in Los Angeles, CA and I still live there now.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself? Recently, I was invited to a friend’s party and it’s been years since we last saw each other. I knew there would be so many people I’ve never met and I chose not to go. I’m not very good at socializing even if I would take someone along with me.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it? I grew up in a big town. I liked it because there were many places to visit.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was in elementary school I wanted to be a model or a singer. I changed my mind in high school because I loved my English class and it made me want to be a teacher.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am thankful that last week I was able to celebrate another year with my husband. It was our 11th year anniversary on Saturday and we had a very much needed date night 🙂

This week I am looking forward to my daughter’s first crazy hat day. I can’t wait to see what we come up with so she can show her friends at preschool 😀

Share Your World- 2015 Week #2

Here are my answers for this week’s Share Your World’s questions:

Are you a hugger or a non-hugger? I am definitely a hugger. Hugs always make me feel better so if I know someone needs a hug I give them one.

What’s your favorite ice-cream flavor? It used to be Vanilla but after I tried Cookies ‘N’ Cream there was no going back. We always make sure there’s ice cream in the fridge, it’s an all year round dessert 🙂

Do you prefer exercising your mind or your body? How frequently do you do either? I prefer the body although I would like to try my mind. I started working out since April of last year and I am so happy to say I’ve lost 8lbs. The holidays didn’t help as much though because I gained 3 of them back but I started my workouts last Monday. If any of you are interested to workout at home, I follow the BikiniBodyMommyChallenge on YouTube and her videos are amazing. You should definitely check her out and her workouts are only 20 minutes, 6 days a week. It’s not only for mom’s, it is for anybody 😀

Are you more of a dog person or a cat person? Why? I’ve never had either but if I had to chose it would be a dog.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I’ve gained more followers and my blog has hit 2,000 views in total. It may not seem as much but I am happy that people are visiting my blog.

I am looking forward to planning my daughter’s 2nd birthday party which is next month. I like to get everything ahead of time so I won’t be rushing last minute.

Have a great week everyone!

Share Your World 2015- Week #1

I had been wanting to participate in Cee’s Share Your World for awhile so here are my answers for this week’s questions:

How do you get rid of pesky phone calls from telemarketers? There is no doubt that every day my home phone rings due to telemarketers so I simply check the caller ID and if I see a number I don’t recognize I hang up. Best way to reach me is through my cell phone 🙂

What are you a “natural” at doing? Being a mom. I’m always planning ahead of time, writing down to do lists, making sure I have enough snacks in my purse when I go out so my daughters have something to eat on the car, etc.

How often do you get a haircut? About twice a year. My hair always seems to take long to grow so sometimes I cut it once a year because I like to keep it shoulder length.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”? Spending time with my daughters and family time is always fun because we get to explore new places.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for health. Unfortunately, my mom fell down on our trip to the snow and she broke a part of her wrist bone. It could’ve been worse but she is healing very quickly. I am looking forward this week to meeting up with an old friend over the weekend who I haven’t seen for about a year so that should be fun!

Have a great week everyone!
