Wrap up day!

It was fun joining Photo 101 while it lasted but it had to come to an end.

Here are the top 10 pictures I liked the most:

Treasure

It was nice meeting a lot of new people and being part of a supporting community.

Have a great week everyone!

Photo 101: Triumph

It has been a very nice experience joining WordPress the last week of October only to find out that in November there would be a challenge on Photography.  I decided to try it out because I love taking pictures but didn’t know what to expect.  At first, I thought this is going to be easy but as every assignment was given it actually made me realize I wasn’t seeing the bigger picture,  photography is art.  Some days were challenging but I managed to find a way and fulfill the theme.  I loved going through it all and I’m actually going to miss it.  I started with no followers and now I feel so happy and thankful that everyone took the time to visit my blog, see my pictures, and leave comments.  I will try to do the same for you and hopefully I get to see more pictures from everyone that took on the challenge.

Now, what I feel has been a Triumph is actually keeping up with this challenge and trying to learn photography.  I’ve tried to capture many pictures when I go out although at times I think I go overboard shooting pictures all the time.  But doesn’t practice make perfect?  I’m not shooting for perfection but I do want to get better at it. I still have a lot to learn but I don’t plan on giving up.

Trying to capture the sunset is hard especially because there are too many trees where I live but I liked the outcome of this picture…Triumph

Thanks for visiting!

Photo 101: Glass

Today’s assignment was pretty fun!

I had never experimented with glass and there are many interesting pictures that come from it.

Here are 2 of the ones I took that I thought were good (but I have to keep practicing though).

Enjoy!

Photo 101: Treasure

I thought of many things I treasure in my life but it just didn’t feel right to put all that attention to something else.

There is no doubt that the people I treasure the most in life are my 2 beautiful daughters.

I love them for all the laughs, the lessons learned, and the precious moments I will never forget.

Photo 101: Landscape

So far I’ve been posting each day with no delay but this time I was too busy and didn’t get to it.  But here are my pictures for landscape.  In the city there’s not much to capture in a picture other than cars and buildings so I ended up going through my old pictures and found these I took earlier in the year.  Hope you like them!

Photo 101: Moment

Today’s assignment was a tough one in my opinion.  Usually we aim for a perfect shot rather than accepting a “not so clear” shot and I had never noticed how those imperfections actually make photography an art.

Here are my attempts to those moments:

There are many buildings to admire for the type of work that has been put into them.  I often go to this outlet mall and had never really looked at the design but I think it’s worth sharing.
